Acupuncture
For over 30 years, training and further education as well as regular case seminars at the German Medical Association for Acupuncture and the treatment of my patients with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) have been part of my medical practice.
The various therapeutic approaches of acupuncture and TCM fundamentally shape my holistic view and treatment approaches.
Dietary changes according to the rules of TCM, TCM drainage methods (e.g. cupping, microleech drainage, leeches), Tunia and Gua Sha massage techniques, heat application (moxibustion), acu-tape or permanent needles are optional parts of the treatment.
Acupuncture – The art of “pricking points” stems from over 5000 years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Acupuncture is an integral part of pain therapy and obstetrics and is also increasingly being used as a
recognized therapy method for acute and chronic illnesses. The targeted stimulation of specific skin points releases energy blockages and stimulates nerve and vascular pathways. It is used to:
- activates the vegetative and sensitive nervous system
- the body’s own pain-inhibiting substances, endorphins, are released
- activates increased blood circulation
- causes reflex muscle relaxation
On average, individual treatment concepts are carried out in 5 to 10 sessions lasting 20 to 30 minutes.
Proven areas of application are:
- Chronic pain in the musculoskeletal system
- Headache syndromes, migraines, tension headaches
- Allergic diseases
- Vomiting during pregnancy, menstrual cycle disorders, premenstrual syndrome PMS
- Stress syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep disorders
- Nicotine abuse
