24-hour blood pressure measurement

In a long-term blood pressure measurement, the patient is fitted with a small measuring device that is worn on the body for 24 hours. Blood pressure is measured automatically at 15-minute intervals. At night, the intervals are every half hour. This measure is used if high blood pressure is suspected, to detect cardiac arrhythmia and to monitor and optimize therapies.

The blood pressure is measured and recorded automatically via a cuff on the upper arm. You should go about your normal daily routine. The values are recorded and stored. The log can later be used to identify correlations between exertion and changes in blood pressure. At the end of the examination, the data is read out on the computer and analysed by us. Afterwards we will inform you about the result.
